No. PCPA is a professional conservatory theatre company located on the Allan Hancock Campus in Santa Maria. Solvang Theaterfest, which owns and operates Solvang Festival Theater, is home to some of PCPA's  summer productions, but is a separate 501(c)3 nonprofit entity.

Yes. Solvang Theaterfest produces its own concerts with well known recording artists offering a variety of sounds and performances live on the main stage.  We also produce a Summer Music in the Garden series on our Terrace Stage.    The theater is also available for rent. 

Yes.  Although the city of Solvang generally enjoys beautiful weather year-round, Please check the weather report. Nights are generally very chilly, so many attendees bring blankets and dress warmly for evening events.

Events will proceed as scheduled RAIN OR SHINE, with cancellations communicated promptly to patrons if necessary for safety. Umbrellas create sightline restrictions and are not allowed at any event.

Snacks are available for purchase during all events along with alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. No glass is allowed in all Theater areas. No outside beverages are permitted. We allow guests to bring in snacks for our events.

Tickets for Solvang Theaterfest concerts and events are sold online or you may contact our Business Office at 805-686-1789. The box office opens simultaneously with the opening of the gates on event days.

PCPA box office opens at 4:00pm on PCPA performance days. Tickets for PCPA productions may be purchased at www.pcpa.org when the Box office is not open. For questions about PCPA productions, please call them directly at  805-922-8313. 

Please note that PCPA does not sell tickets to other events at our theater, such as Music in the Garden Series and other events outside of their summer program.

For productions put on by other organizations please contact the organization producing the event. 

No pictures may be taken during performances unless otherwise noted.   Cameras are not allowed for other performances, unless the performing artists allow for it. Photos are allowed in the Lobby Lawn & Patron Garden. 

We only allow service animals into the theater areas. Please contact us prior to coming if you’d like to bring a service animal.

No smoking is allowed on SFT grounds (this includes the use of electronic cigarettes). Smoking outside the gates is permitted but please extinguish and dispose of your cigarettes in the appropriate receptacle. Please keep your ticket stub for reentry.

Children under the age of 5 are not admitted to the theater unless otherwise stated.

Yes. Wheelchair access into the Theater by ramp is available and space for wheelchairs is provided, as well as ADA compliant bathroom access.

Parking is available at no charge on the surrounding streets and in the public parking lots accessible from Mission Drive  and from Oak Street, both of which are a short walk to the theater.

Yes, the Theater and the lobby garden are available to host just about any type of event or gathering.   For more information, visit our venue page

Help everyone have the best time possible.


Please be considerate and neighborly to other guests and refrain from conduct that is offensive or physically dangerous.

Remain in assigned seat or open public areas.

Please do not enter restricted areas.

Avoid standing or loitering in aisles and stairways as fire code regulations require they be clear at all times.

Be considerate of guests who want to watch the show by not obstructing others' view.

Dance in designated areas, such as the floor area when permitted.

Theaterfest is not responsible for any articles lost or left behind. Any item turned in to the Box Office will be kept for 30 days.
